Siliguri, 25th August: Agnimitra Paul, President of Bharatiya Janata Party’s Mahila Morcha (women’s wing) was very offended after she was not allowed to meet the Kharibari rape victim at North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH) on Tuesday.
As per allegations, Paul was stopped from meeting the victim last night too. She expressed outrage over not being allowed to meet the victim for two consecutive days and accused the administration of trying to hide something in regard to the incident.
It is to be noted that on August 22, a deaf and dumb girl from the Kharibari Tea Garden area was gang-raped. Following which, she was admitted to the NBMCH in a critical condition. She is currently undergoing treatment at the hospital.
