Alipurduar, 11th August: An adult leopard was killed in a road accident near Birpara Chowpathi in Alipurduar district on Saturday night.
The incident occurred when the leopard was crossing the road and was struck by a vehicle. The impact caused the leopard to be thrown off the road, suffering fatal injuries, particularly to its face. Eventually, the leopard succumbed on the spot.
Upon receiving the news, officials and forest workers from the Dalgaon Range arrived at the scene and recovered the leopard’s carcass.
