Bagdogra, 22nd July: A full-grown leopard was killed in a road accident in the Bhuttabari area of Bagdogra. The incident occurred on National Highway 31.
According to reports, the 5-year-old male leopard was crossing from one tea garden to another when it was hit by a vehicle, resulting in its death.
Bagdogra Range Officer Sonam Bhutia mentioned that the leopard purportedly died due to the impact of the collision. On Monday, the carcass will undergo a post-mortem examination. Authorities from the Bagdogra Forest Office have initiated an investigation into the incident.
