Siliguri, 10th January: After the lockdown, the Association for Conservation and Tourism (ACT) took several initiatives to take the rural tourism industry forward. The matter was announced on behalf of the association at a press conference on Sunday.
Raj Basu stated that that so far, city-based tourism received more importance. However, after the lockdown, efforts are being made to take the rural-based tourism industry advancing. Hence, they will organize several carnivals in the coming days. Just as the Sunday Haat baazar has started in Siliguri, another market will be organized in Kalimpong.
