Siliguri, 04th July: The Siliguri Metropolitan Police has launched an investigation into a mysterious death near the Loknath temple in the Eastern Bypass area. The deceased, identified as Sudeep Sutradhar (38) from Niranjan Nagar in ward number 36 under the jurisdiction of the Ashighar Outpost, was found dead under unknown circumstances.
According to reports, Sudeep worked at a local clothes shop at Sevoke More and was reportedly found deceased with visible marks of injury. On Wednesday night, Sudeep’s elder brother was informed by the police of his brother’s death. In this regard, he expressed his shock regarding the matter and claimed that Sudeep had no enmity with anyone. Meanwhile, CCTV footage surrounding his death had surfaced based on which the deceased’s family alleged foul play citing the injury marks on his body.
In the meantime, the police recovered the body on the same night and sent it to the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH) for an autopsy. The police are engaged in a thorough investigation to uncover the truth behind his untimely demise.
