Rajganj, 15th January: A cyclist has been seriously injured in a road accident in the adjoining area of College Para of Fatapukur-Belakoba State Road. The injured has been identified as Nitai Ghosh, a resident of Belakoba.
According to local sources, a person was riding a bicycle in the area adjacent to College Para on Sunday afternoon. Then a four-wheeler heading from Fatapukur hit the cyclist and seriously injured him. After this, the locals rushed Nitai to Rajganj Rural Hospital. However, after the incident, the four-wheeler driver fled in the vehicle.
On the other hand, the local people protested against the incident by blocking the road. Upon getting the information, the police of Belakoba Out Post reached the spot and dispersed the protesters and cleared the traffic jam. The police have started investigating the entire incident.
