Siliguri, 02nd April: One died, one severely injured in a road accident that occurred in the Shiv Mandir area under Matigara police station. The deceased has been identified as Bhudaru Barman (40) while the injured as Paritosh Barman (35).
As per the report, last night, the duo was traveling on their motorcycle and was highly intoxicated. The rider, allegedly, lost control and rammed into the iron barricade near the Shiv Mandir Rail gate. They were severely injured in the incident.
Upon receiving the news, the police reached the spot, rescued them and rushed them to the North Bengal Medical College- Hospital, where the doctors declared Bhudaru Barman dead. However, the other was released after treatment.
