Siliguri, 18th June: Two laborers lost their lives and five were injured in an accident that occurred during tunneling work at Sevoke Rungpo railway line.
Reportedly, the tragic incident occurred after a section of a tunnel on the under-construction Sevoke-Rungpo railway project collapsed at Bhalukhola in Kalimpong last night.
Two of the severely injured workers were rescued and rushed to a nursing home in Siliguri. Another three workers were admitted to a hospital in Kalimpong. Administrative officials said that their injuries were not that severe.
