Siliguri, 25th June: After allegations concerning vaccination brokerage racket came to light, the Siliguri police held discussions with the Siliguri district hospital authorities. From now on, people can get coupons only by submitting a Xerox copy of their Aadhaar card. A register will also be present at the hospital, where details will be registered regarding the people getting vaccinated every day.
DCP Joy Tudu, ACP Shuvendra Kumar, and IC of Siliguri police station were present at the district hospital on Friday. The Police officials looked into the vaccination process and also inspected the hospital premises.
It is to be noted that vaccination coupons used to be distributed in front of the emergency department so far. However, from next week, coupons will be given next to the outdoor ticket counter. CCTV surveillance will also be kept in the area.
