Naxalbari, 12th December: A four-wheeler belonging to a road-construction company met with an accident after losing control, leaving the driver narrowly escaping death near the Kiran Chandra Tea Estate area in Naxalbari.
According to reports, the vehicle was travelling from Naxalbari towards Siliguri on Friday. Due to high speed near the Lalfa Bridge adjacent to the tea garden, the driver lost control, causing the vehicle to crash into a tree inside the tea garden and eventually get stuck in a roadside drain. The driver managed to escape with his life.
On receiving information, police from Naxalbari Police Station and Naxalbari Traffic Guard reached the spot. The damaged vehicle was recovered and taken to the police station. Naxalbari Police have initiated an investigation into the incident.
