Rajganj, 06th December: The distribution process of 22 newly constructed sheds has begun at the Belakoba’s Battala regulated market, benefiting around 240 small traders.
The sheds were formally distributed in a ceremony attended by Rajganj MLA Khageswar Roy, Rajganj Panchayat Samiti President Rupali Dey Sarkar, Narayan Basak, Safiul Bari, and other local officials.
MLA Khageswar Roy said the new sheds were constructed at a cost of nearly ₹8 crore under the state government’s initiative. Traders had long demanded improvements to the market infrastructure, and with the new sheds, about 240 traders will now be able to run regular shops.
The distribution of the sheds has started on Saturday, and local traders expressed happiness over the upgraded facilities.
