Siliguri, 17th October: 70-year old Deepali Bhowmick, a resident of Haripur area of Fulbari-1 Gram Panchayat, was found hanging from the noose this morning.
According to family sources, Deepali went inside the house this morning to pray and closed the door. When the door remained shut for a long time, her family members grew suspicious and broke the door with the help of their neighbours. To their utter shock, they found Deepali’s lifeless body hanging from the noose inside.
Upon receiving the news, the police reached the spot and recovered the body and sent it to the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital for post-mortem. Police are investigating the unfortunate incident.
