7 lakh Indian rupees recovered in Indo-Bangladesh border, three arrested

Malda, 20th July: The BSF officials arrested three persons along with 7 lakh Indian rupees. The arrested accused individuals have been identified as Dilip Mandal, Krishna Mandal, and Nikhil Mandal. All of them are reportedly residents of Kaliachak police station area.


According to BSF sources, the jawans of the 24th Battalion, on Sunday night, tried to stop a Maruti van which was travelling along the Indo-Bangladesh border area of ​​Malda district. However, the car fled from the scene. The BSF officials chased the car and successfully got hold of it near Mahdipur BOP. Upon searching the vehicle, 7 lakh 7 thousand 700 Indian currency and three mobile phones were recovered.

The three accused, as well as the recovered money and mobile phones, have been handed over to the English Bazar police on Monday afternoon.


The police have launched an investigation into the whole incident.
