Fulbari, 21st August: A seven-foot-long venomous snake, identified as a Shankhini (Banded Krait), was rescued early this morning in Fulbari.
According to reports, the snake was found trapped in a fishing net in a pond near Putimari, adjacent to Fulbari, on Wednesday morning. Locals found the snake and managed to free it by cutting the net. The snake was released back into the wild in good health.
While the Banded Krait is known to be venomous, it is generally recognized for its beautiful appearance and calm nature.
