Siliguri, 15th August: As India celebrates its 78th Independence Day, a 65-feet high Tricolour was proudly hoisted at Mahatma Gandhi More (Air View) in Siliguri. The flag was unfurled by Mayor Gautam Deb, who also extended warm Independence Day wishes to all present.
The ceremony was attended by Deputy Mayor Ranjan Sarkar, Councillors, and MMICs, highlighting the significance of the occasion. Special events are being organized across the country to mark Independence Day, with celebrations in Siliguri being no exception.
