Siliguri, 11th May: In order to increase security at the NJP police station area, CCTV cameras have been installed at various important places. The Siliguri Metropolitan Police has taken such an initiative to prevent any untoward incident.
Accordingly, 63 CCTV cameras have been installed at 21 important places in the NJP police station area. Siliguri Police Commissioner DP Singh inaugurated the work at NJP Police Station on Tuesday. DCP Headquarter Joy Tudu was also present.
DCP headquarter Joy Tudu said that the work is being arranged at a cost of 14-15 lakh rupees. At present, cameras have been installed at Bhaktinagar and NJP police station areas. Cameras have also been provided by the government. More cameras will be installed at different places in a few days.
