Siliguri, 08th January: In recent developments, the Border Security Force (BSF) rescued 54 cattle from a container truck in Fulbari. The incident led to the arrest of ten individuals.
According to reports, the container laden with cattle was on its way from Dakshin Dinajpur district towards Jalpaiguri via Siliguri and Fulbari. During this, acting on a tip-off, the BSF personnel launched an operation near the Fulbari toll plaza and seized the container.
During the search, 54 cattle were rescued from the container. Subsequently, ten individuals were arrested. Later, the BSF handed over the accused along with the cattle to the New Jalpaiguri (NJP) police. On Monday, all accused have been produced before the Jalpaiguri court. At present, the police are engaged in a detailed investigation of the entire matter.
