Siliguri, 19th March: The GRP apprehended an individual on the Sikkim Mahananda Express carrying a substantial quantity of iPhones. The accused, identified as Ranjeet Singh from Jaigaon, was found with 50 iPhones.
According to reports, a search operation was conducted at Junction Railway Station as part of security protocols for the Sikkim Mahananda Express. During the search, 50 iPhones were found in Ranjeet Singh’s possession inside the train’s AC coach.
Subsequently, the Junction Town GRP arrested the accused due to failure to provide valid documentation. On Tuesday, Ranjeet Singh was presented in Siliguri court, where he was remanded in police custody for eight days.
