Siliguri, 27th September: In order to ensure security in the area of Ward No. 12 of the Siliguri Municipal Corporation, 50 new CCTV cameras have been installed. Today, Mayor Goutam Deb, Deputy Mayor Ranjan Sarkar, Mayor-Council Dulal Dutta, Alam Khan, Ward No. 12 Councillor Basudeb Ghosh, Ward No. 07 Councillor Pintu Ghosh, and others inaugurated the CCTV camera.
Reportedly, the CCTV will be monitored from the councillor’s office. Today, along with the inauguration of CCTV cameras, clothes were also handed over to 20 sanitation workers of the ward on the occasion of Durga Puja. In this regard, Goutam Deb said that CCTV cameras have been installed under the aegis of the councillor of the ward. He further said of the installation of CCTV cameras in all the wards of SMC from January.
