Naxalbari, 17th December: On Sunday, a 5 km marathon event has been organized under the aegis of the Naxalbari police station in preparation for the upcoming Darjeeling Hill Marathon scheduled to be held on December 24.
According to reports, the marathon race commenced from Naxalbari’s Haria More and concluded at the Panighata More. In attendance were, Siliguri Mahakuma Parishad Sabhadhipati Arun Ghosh, Naxalbari Panchayat Samiti members Prithivish Roy and Viraj Sarkar, and Naxalbari police station officials.
In addition, participants to secure first, second, and third places in the men’s, women’s, and children’s categories were awarded. In regard to the Darjeeling Hill Marathon, police officials have urged everyone to be a part of the event on December 24.
