Rajganj, 01st October: The BSF officials recovered 5 kg of cannabis on a banana tree raft on the Chawhati River in Rajganj. However, no arrests have been made so far.
According to BSF sources, the drug was being smuggled to Bangladesh through Chaulhati border area on Tuesday night. When the jawans of 195th Battalion of BSF noticed the raft, they found 5 kgs of cannabis on it.
The recovered item was later handed it over to the Rajganj police. The police have started an investigation into the incident.
