Naxalbari, 23rd December: The 41st annual sports meet was organised at the Hathighisa Adivasi Azad Hind Club ground in Naxalbari on Tuesday.
The event was inaugurated by Arun Ghosh, Sabhadhipati of the Siliguri Mahakuma Parishad.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Dilip Kumar Roy, Chairman of the Siliguri Primary Education Council, Tapasi Saha, Project Officer of the Samagra Shiksha Mission, District Primary School Inspector Tarun Kumar Sarkar, along with other dignitaries.
A total of 240 participants from 159 schools took part in the competition, competing across 42 different events.
Out of these, 42 selected participants will represent their respective schools at the district-level sports meet scheduled to be held on January 3 at North Bengal University.
