Rajganj, 08th November: In a significant political shift, 40 families left the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and joined the Trinamool Congress (TMC) in Rajganj. The joining event was held on Friday in Dudhiya village, Mantadari Gram Panchayat, Rajganj block.
At the event, former BJP workers and supporters joined TMC under the leadership of Trinamool Congress’s Jalpaiguri District Chairman and Rajganj MLA Khageswar Roy.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Khageswar Roy stated that these families joined TMC due to their support for the development initiatives led by Mamata Banerjee. He highlighted that the addition of these families has significantly strengthened the TMC in the area.
Also present at the event were Mantadari Gram Panchayat Pradhan Archana Roy, Anchal Sabhapati Lalit Roy, Ranbir Majumdar, and other prominent local leaders.
