Siliguri, 08th October: Four arrested youths, identified as Sultan, Moksedul, Pranesh Adhikari, and Rakesh Mistry, fled from the police van while on their way to the court.
According to Bhaktinagar police station sources, Moksedul and Sultan are residents of Netaji Nagar, and Pranesh Adhikary and Rakesh Mistry are residents of the Kholachand Fapri area.
Reportedly, two out of the four were kept in remand and the other two were caught on the charges of burglary. All four were being taken to Jalpaiguri court today, during which they broke the van lock near Sevoke road and fled away.
Following the incident, the Police officials of the Siliguri Police Commissionerate have launched search operations to get hold of them.
