Kharibari, 07th May: A person, identified as Madhav Chandra Mandal (50), has been arrested by SSB personnel from the Indo-Nepal border at Paitanki with morphine in his possession. The accused is a resident of Shyamdhan Jote, Kharibari.
Based on a tip-off, SSB team conducted an operation and apprehended Mandal from the Indo-Nepal border, Panitanki. Upon searching, the SSB personnel recovered 39 grams of morphine from his possession for which he was arrested and subsequently handed over to Kharibari police. Today, the accused was produced before the Siliguri Divisional Court, while Kharibari police are further investigating the matter.
