Islampur, 10th February: 31 people were injured in a head-on collision between two trucks in the Tarunjibari National Highway 31 in Islampur under North Dinajpur district. The injured individuals also include 7 children.
According to local sources, many people were returning home in one of the truck from Chopra’s Dolua Mela, at around 9 pm on Sunday. The truck collided with another truck coming from the Tarunjibari area, due to which 31 people were injured. After the incident, the injured were rushed to the Islampur Subdivisional Hospital, from where three of them were referred to the North Bengal Medical College-Hospital after their condition worsened.
