Malda, 05th March: Under the initiative of the Malda District Administration, a mass wedding was organized at the Gazole College Grounds in the presence of the State Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
As per the report, the CM arrived in Gazole at 12 pm, on Thursday. 300 couples tied the knot as per the tribal rituals. After the wedding concluded, the CM handed over gifts and funds to the newlyweds. Around 10 thousand people were present during the event.
The Chief Minister stated that such events are held in May, every year.
