Siliguri, 13th September: Siliguri Metropolitan Police’s Bhakti Nagar station thwarted a major robbery plan, leading to the arrest of three individuals. The suspects, identified as Ishwar Sonar, Jiban Boro, and Kano Roy, are residents of the Bhakti Nagar area.
According to reports, the Bhakti Nagar police received a tip-off on Thursday night about several miscreants gathering at Gandhi Maidan with the intent to commit robbery. An operation was promptly launched.
While some suspects fled upon seeing the police, three were apprehended. Various robbery-related materials were recovered from the arrested individuals.
The three suspects were presented in Jalpaiguri court on Friday. The Bhakti Nagar police continue to investigate the case.
