Siliguri, 07th August: The Matiagara police have arrested a youth on charges of sexual harassment on a 3.5-year-old. The accused has been identified as Paritosh Barman (22), a resident of the Balason area in Matigara.
According to reports, the accused youth lured the victim out of the house in the neighbourhood under the pretext of playing. Reportedly, there was no one present at Paritosh Barman’s residence at that time. Taking advantage of the situation, Paritosh allegedly sexually harrassed the child.
Later, the child disclosed the incident to the family members. Subsequently, the family filed a written complaint at the Matiagara police station. Following this, the child underwent a routine medical examination. The police launched an investigation and arrested Paritosh Barman based on the complaint. The accused was produced before the Siliguri court on Wednesday. Currently, the police are investigating the entire incident.
