Rajganj, 09th August: The 26th World Tribal Day was celebrated in Rajganj’s Sarkar Para under the initiative of Sadar Rajganj Adivasi Mancha.
Apart from tribal songs and dances, the programme began with a wreath-laying ceremony at the portraits of Birsa Munda, Sidhu, and Kanu. Various aspects of education, culture, and way of life of the tribals were discussed during the programme.
Trinamool Jalpaiguri District SC/ST/ OBC cell President Krishna Das, District-in-Council President Uttara Barman, Trinamool Rajganj Block Chairman Mosharraf Hossain, President Laikkhomohan Roy, Sadar Block President Arjun Das and many other leaders were present today.
