Fulbari, 26th June: A shocking discovery was made in the home of local resident Naresh Roy of the Changrabandha village under Fulbari No. 2 Gram Panchayat, where 26 eggs of a venomous snake were recovered from the kitchen on Sunday morning.

The incident came to light when Naresh Roy while cleaning his kitchen, was alarmed by an unusual sound. Upon closer inspection, he found a snake’s nest with several eggs beneath the cemented ground. As a result, Naresh promptly informed an environmental organization in Siliguri about the matter.

Subsequently, two members of the organization arrived at the scene and safely rescued both the snake and its eggs. The snake was identified as the Indian cobra, one of the venomous snakes found in the region. The rescued snake will be released into the Baikunthapur forest to ensure that the eggs are not destroyed.
