21 goats seized on Indo-Nepal border, two arrested

Naxalbari, 01st July: In a successful operation, officials from the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) busted a case of animal trafficking on the Indo-Nepal border, resulting in the arrest of two individuals. The arrested miscreants have been identified as Sameer Sheikh and Mohammad Babul, residents of Totaram Jote in Naxalbari.


According to reports, the individuals were involved in the illegal trafficking of goats from Bara Maniram Jote to Nepal. The SSB officials intercepted the operation and managed to recover twenty-one goats during the incident. The miscreants were then taken into custody and subsequently transported to the Naxalbari police station. They were later presented before the Siliguri Divisional Court for further legal proceedings.
