Siliguri, 26th September: Despite heavy downpour since this morning, the 200th birth anniversary of Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar was celebrated in Siliguri today.
A programme was organized at Children’s Park under the initiative of Siliguri Municipal Corporation. Reportedly, Ashok Bhattacharya laid a wreath at the statue of Vidyasagar.
Apart from Bhattacharya, other members of the BoA at SMC were present during the programme.
