Rajganj, 26th June: A 19-year old girl is on a sit-in protest in front of his lover’s house in Rajganj since Friday evening. The incident surfaced from Dangapara, Bandhunagar of Majhiyali Gram Panchayat in Rajganj. However, the family members of her lover are absconding.
As per the report, the girl from the Khudivita area was in a love affair with Manik Ali (21) of Dangapara for the last 5 years. Apparently, Manik promised to marry her and lived with her on numerous occasions. Around three months ago, both the families agreed to their marriage. When the girl’s family members went to Manik’s house to fix the date of their wedding, they were shocked to find the gates locked. Following this, the 19-year old sat in a dharna.
Hemant Roy, gram panchayat Deputy Pradhan said that the matter has been reported to the block administration.
