Siliguri, 18th May: In a heart-warming gesture, Avantika Dey, a resident of Siliguri Ward No.18 area, decided not to celebrate her 18th birthday but instead distributed ration among several poor families on Monday in the presence of Ward No. 12 Councilor Nantu Pal.
The nation-wide lockdown in the wake of rising COVID-19 cases has made a huge economical impact on the daily wagers and their families. Therefore, Avantika stepped forward to help the needy and stated that it was a pleasure to help them in such a crisis.
