Siliguri, 31st December: A 17-year-old girl from Bihar suffered severe injuries at Savin Kingdom Amusement Park in Dagapur, Siliguri, raising serious questions about the park’s safety measures. The incident has once again placed the park under scrutiny for alleged negligence.
According to reports, a group of 50 children from a private school in Araria, Bihar, had come to Siliguri for an adventure trip, accompanied by their teacher, Neetu Saran, and her 17-year-old daughter.
On Monday, while the children were enjoying activities at the park, the teacher’s daughter sustained a severe head injury during a go-karting activity after her hair got stuck in the equipment.
The injured girl was taken to a private hospital in Matigara in critical condition and is currently under observation. The family alleged that the park management failed to provide basic first aid or an ambulance, forcing them to transport the girl to the hospital in an e-rickshaw.
The mother and other family members have accused the park of gross negligence, citing the lack of safety protocols, first aid, and ambulance facilities. They have stated that the management is compromising public safety and playing with the lives of visitors. The family intends to approach the administration and file a formal complaint regarding the incident.
It is noteworthy that this is not the first time Savin Kingdom Park has faced criticism for its safety measures. About a year ago, two youths from Bihar visited the water park, during which one of them lost his life.
