Rajganj, 08th April: Sensation prevailed after Hari Om Shantanu Thakur (16), a resident of the South Colony area, drowned while taking a bath at a pond in the Putimari Lakkhijote area near Ambari-Fulbari Teesta Canal under Fulbari-2 gram panchayat.
According to local and family sources, four friends including Hari went to the Putimari area. Hari stepped down into the pond to take a bath but drowned as the water was too deep. After the incident, the teenager was rescued with the help of locals and was rushed to a nearby private nursing home. Further details underway.
