Rajganj, 01st November: A 12-foot-long python has been rescued from a drain in the Purba Dhantala area of Fulbari, near Siliguri. The incident occurred on Friday afternoon when local residents spotted the snake in a roadside drain.
Reportedly, concerned locals safely captured the python, placed it in a bag, and immediately notified the forest department officials from the Ambari range.
Forest personnel arrived at the scene to rescue the snake. The officials confirmed that the snake will receive initial treatment before being released back into the wild.
