11th grader missing for two days in Rajganj, family seeks help from police

Rajganj, 08th February: A girl from Nipaniya Village of Jotiyakali area near Fulbari has been missing for the past two days since Monday. 


As per the information, 18-year-old Mayna Khatoon, a student in 11th standard of Fulbari High School left the house on Monday evening with her younger niece to get clothes stitched at the tailor’s shop in Jotiyakali. But mid-way Mayna Khatoon sent her niece home to wear a sweater. Upon not returning home after night, her family members started looking for her. Despite searching at various places, the young girl could not be found. After this, the family lodged a written complaint at the NJP police station on Tuesday. 

The family members of the missing girl have said that on the morning of her disappearance, Mayna had transferred Rs 5,000 from her bank account to an account of a person from East Medinipur. At the same time, since her disappearance, she could not be contacted on the phone. The relatives suspect that the girl might be in danger and thus, have demanded a serious investigation from the police.
