Siliguri, 19th January: The NJP police have arrested a youth and recovered 11 stolen bicycles. The arrested individual has been identified as Shib Choudhury, a resident of Maharaj Colony in Siliguri.
According to reports, on Saturday night, the Anti-Crime Wing of NJP Police arrested a suspect near the Rail Hospital Crossing. Initially, one stolen bicycle was recovered from him. Upon further questioning, the police discovered 10 other stolen bicycles from an abandoned quarter in Kashmir Colony.
The bicycles were apparently stored in the quarter with the intent to sell them. On Sunday, the arrested individual was presented in the Jalpaiguri Court. The NJP Police have launched an investigation to determine if others are involved in the theft ring.
