Siliguri, 25th January: The 100th episode of the ‘Talk to Mayor’ program was held in front of the public, where Siliguri Mayor Gautam Deb listened to the issues of the city’s residents, in addition to receiving calls.
On Saturday, the ‘Talk to Mayor’ program, conducted by Mayor Gautam Deb, reached its milestone 100th episode. Unlike usual episodes held at the town hall, the special 100th episode took place at the Siliguri Municipal Corporation premises, with a giant screen installed for the occasion, and in the presence of Municipal Officials.
During the event, Mayor Deb listened to various concerns raised by citizens and made efforts to address them. Many people called in to congratulate the Mayor on this milestone. The Mayor received around 45 calls on the day, hearing from students and the general public.
In his address, Mayor Deb shared that he has received a total of 2,238 calls through ‘Talk to Mayor’ and worked to resolve the issues brought forward. People from both within the city and from other states have also reached out with their problems, including several family disputes that have been resolved. He expressed hope that the program would set a new precedent in the state.
