Jalpaiguri, 31st July: A total of 10,000 saplings were handed over to the tea garden authorities on behalf of the forest department. Starting today, those saplings were distributed among the workers of Jalpaiguri Danguajhar Tea garden.
Around 3 thousand permanent and temporary workers are employed in the aforementioned tea garden. In response to the request of the state forest department, the distribution of a variety of saplings has commenced today.
Tea garden manager stated that a total of 10,000 saplings including mango and lemon will be distributed.
