Kharibari, 14th January: The Jawans of the Kutiajote BoP under E Company Madanjote of the 41st Battalion of the SSB seized 13 cattle being brought illegally from Nepal during patrolling. A smuggler was also arrested in connection with the incident.
The accused arrested has been identified as Md Feroze, a resident of Chhota Maniramjote, Naxalbari. The arrested individual, along with the seized cattle, has been handed over to the nearest Police station.
According to information received from the SSB, the Jawans seized 13 cattle being brought illegally from Nepal in the Indian territory near Pillar Number 89 located on the Indo-Nepal border, during patrolling.
