Bagdogra, 11th August: The body of a drowned man was found in a pond located in Bagdogra. Sourav, survived by his wife and two daughters, met with a tragic incident while taking a bath with his friends at the Shiyabhita area of Paschim Dhansara Jote in Bagdogra on Thursday.
After the incident, the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and Fire Department personnel undertook an overnight search and rescue operation, however, the missing individual could not be traced. On Friday morning, the locals spotted the lifeless body in the pond. Subsequently, the NDRF team recovered the deceased body and transported it to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH) for post-mortem examination.
