Rajganj, 02nd September: A shocking incident has unfolded in Kamini Nagar locality adjacent to Mogradangi in Rajganj, where the deceased body of a man was found in a pond next to his home. The deceased has been identified as Sushanta Mandal (40).
Local sources reported that Mandal previously worked as a city auto driver who had been ill for an extended period. He was undergoing medical treatment at his in-laws’ home. On the previous Saturday, he returned to his own house. However, since Sunday evening, his family, including his wife and two children, had been unable to locate him. On Monday morning, Mandal’s body was found after the water level in the pond was reduced with a pump set.
Following this, the Rajganj police arrived at the scene upon receiving the news. The body has been recovered and sent to the Jalpaiguri District Hospital for an autopsy. Meanwhile, the police are investigating to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the death.
