Yuva Congress stages a protest in Siliguri against the rise in LPG price

Siliguri, 15th February: A protest was staged by the Siliguri Assembly Yuva Congress, today, in Siliguri’s Sevoke More, against the increase in LPG price. The Yuva Congress activists chanted slogans against the Central Government.
During the event, the supporters of the Yuva Congress demanded the Central Government to withdraw the increased price of LPG at the earliest.


The Siliguri Assembly Youth Congress leader Rohit Tiwari stated that the Central Government was misleading the common people by promising “Ache Din”. He further stated that along with the price rise, unemployment is also increasing. He additionally stated that the Central Government is busy with Pakistan, NRC, CAA, and NPR, so, the Yuva Congress has staged a protest in the Siliguri assembly constituency, today, for the benefit of the common people. He further warned of staging larger demonstrations if the Central Government does not withdraw the increased price of LPG.

Meanwhile, the Siliguri Police took five Yuva Congress activists into custody for disrupting the transportation of the vehicles, during the protest.
