Alipurduar, 04th September: A young man was killed in an elephant attack in Madarihat. The deceased has been identified as Kishore Oraon, a resident of the Dhumchipara Tea Garden in Madarihat.
Reports indicate that Kishore Oraon had gone to the Mujnai Tea Garden. While returning, he was attacked by an elephant within the premises of the tea garden, leading to his death.
Upon receiving the news, police from the Madarihat police arrived at the scene and recovered the body. The body has been sent to Alipurduar Hospital for an autopsy. The police are currently investigating the incident.
