Woman allegedly attacks husband’s lover with blade in Kharibari, detained

Kharibari, 08th September: A woman allegedly attacked her husband’s lover with a blade following an alleged extramarital relationship in the Gondogol Jote area of Kharibari. Police have detained the accused woman in connection with the incident.

According to reports, Bhima Barman allegedly had an extramarital relationship with Anjali Barman’s husband. Anjali reportedly became angry after seeing her husband’s mobile chats with Bhima over the past six months.

She subsequently went to Bhima Barman’s shop, where an argument allegedly broke out between the two. During the altercation, Anjali allegedly attacked Bhima with a blade.

Bhima collapsed following the attack. Local residents rescued her and took her to Naxalbari Hospital, from where she was referred to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH) for further treatment.

Meanwhile, police detained Anjali Barman after receiving information about the incident. Police have launched an investigation into the matter.
