West Bengal TMC Refugee Cell lodges police complaint against BJP national secretary Anupam Hazra

Siliguri, 28th September: The West Bengal TMC Refugee Cell has lodged a written complaint at the Siliguri police station against the BJP national secretary Anupam Hazra.


Reportedly, Anupam Hazra attended a BJP workers’ meeting in Baruipur of South 24 Parganas and allegedly stated:

“I will embrace Mamata Banerjee if I get infected with the Novel coronavirus.”


Following his blunt remarks, a written complaint was lodged on Monday morning on behalf of the Siliguri Town Committee of the West Bengal TMC Refugee Cell. The leaders and workers of the organization demanded punishment for the accused.

Earlier too, a written complaint was also lodged at the Siliguri police station on behalf of the Darjeeling district Trinamool Congress against the remarks of BJP leader Sayantan Basu and Soumitra Khan.
