Siliguri, 2nd January: Ward Utsav “Gitanjali” has commenced at Ward No.11 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation. Reportedly, the festival will run throughout the week. This morning, a procession was organized on behalf of the Kirtania team, in which all the children of the ward participated.
The procession commenced in front of the Mitra Sammilani Hall and then visited various parts of the city. Ward Councillor Manju Pal stated that different types of events have been arranged for everyone including dance, music, badminton, and ‘antakshari’. Ward councilor Manjushree Pal, Nantu Pal, social worker Babu Talukder and the ward residents were present during the event.
